The dining space(TM)s light, airy, split-level interior is perfectly suited to our amazing chef Stephen Smith(TM)s beautifully-crafted sharing plates. The open kitchen not only enhances the sociability, but offers diners on the lower level a glimpse of culinary theatre as the dishes are created, plated and presented.
Stephen(TM)s sharing menu is at once contemporary and nostalgic"old savoury and sweet favourites given a very modern twist in both ingredients and presentation. And for those who don(TM)t like to share, there are a variety of larger plates you can at least try to keep all to yourself.
Our food menu is complimented by a bar serving the best of New Zealand(TM)s craft beers and an extensive, international wine list, making Tin Soldier an ideal destination whether you(TM)re hungry, thirsty or just curious about Ponsonby(TM)s newest venue.
