30th June 2011 To the team at Allely House, WELL DONE, if there were 6 stars to rate you on, you would get all 6. Erin and her team looked after us and then some. Our group of 45 Rotarians were served quickly and it ran like clockwork. The meals were superb, dessert superb and the entrees perfect. I hope we get a reason to partake in your food, wine and hospitality again soon.
Allely House is a fully licensed a la carte restaurant. A beautifully restored villa set in 5 acres of mature trees and gardens and only 20 minutes from the centre of Auckland. An easy drive to the end of the Northwest motorway and 6 kms along Highway 16 delivers you to Allely House in the heart of the West Auckland wine district. There are 17 wineries within easy reach of Allely House as well as 3 top Auckland golf courses and the spectacular sight of Muriwai beach and its gannet colony.
29th September 2011 Decided to take my wife here for our anniversary and it was not very good at all. Service was crap had to ASK for drinks and then ASK again for them to take our order. Staff where mucking about in the bar chatting and giggling away - typical i guess when you employ only teenagers in a resturant. Really disapointing and we wouldnt be back!!

20th December 2010 Food was average - weird combinations of veges with the meat and both the entree and mains were over-garnished (I did not know this could even happen...).
Dessert was uncooked (watery creme brulee, anyone?) and flavoured rice crackers were served with the cheese board.
Completely lacked ambience - half-pie Christmas decorations, and haphazard table placement. Staff do not seem to be switched on and lack confidence in making recommendations from the menu or wine list.
To top it all off my fellow diners and I are suffering from upset stomachs today.
This place would be more suited to private functions where your own menu could be selected.

18th July 2010 This restaurant is one of our favourites when we have a family gathering. It has a great atmosphere and the music isn't too loud. The food is tasty and no parking problems. I like the spacious layout and the service was great. We will keep on going there for family occasions.

27th June 2010 Nice surroundings but thats as far as in goes, I ordered a medium rare scotch fillet as indicated on the menu the steak arrived after some waiting extreemly over cooked well done would not describe it.
I did not think any Chef worth his salt could screw up a steak that bad especially a scotch fillet.
How ever the desert was very nice
