19th August 2008 My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the Te Mata Lodge in the Coromandel recently. We stayed in a self contained chalet for 4 nights and took advantage of the winter special ($100 per night). We found the hosts to be very accommodating, frequently informing us of scenic spots to visit and activities to do on site. Granted we did arrive the day after a big storm so the weather was not perfect but we had a wonderful stay all the same. We have a new found interest in bush walks, as there are plenty of these to do there.
I would recommend Te Mata Lodge Coromandel to anyone that is looking for a scenic, quiet location to spend with family or loved ones.
