Our small boutique vineyard is just 15 minutes inland from Waikairi and the Weka Pass, within a working sheep and cattle farm off State Highway 7 at Hawarden in North Canterbury. Our cafe is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 1 pm to 5 pm and offers a range of food from salad to pizzas and includes a childrens menu and gluten free options. Wine tastings and sales locally brewed beers and great coffee by our barrista . Hurunui River Wines Riesling 2004 was awarded a bronze medal at the Air NewZealand Wine Awards. Hurunui River Wines grow and sell Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The vineyard was first planted in 1992 and has a boutique family friendly atmosphere and is well supported by the local residents. We look forward to sharing our secret with you.
