10th June 2015 A really disappointing shopping g experience. We bought a Miele washing machine from Kitchen Things based on the recommendation of their service mechanic who took a look at our old machine. It had been arranged that on delivery they would take the old machine - the sales person was informed repeatedly that we have difficult access involving stairs and a steep path - neither the service mechanic who had been to our house, nor the sales person were perturbed by this and assured us that would be no problem. When the machine was delivered (by their Saturday delivery service), my husband and I were greeted by a surly, aggressive delivery man accompanied by an apologetic junior. He did not install the machine properly by failing to check the machine was level, point blank refused to take the old machine (a service we were charged $149 for) and stomped off down the hill. After contacting Kitchen Things and reporting the disappointing experience, we were told that our access is an OHS issue and they will not pick up the old machine. After e-mailing the manager to explain that we had informed them of the difficult access and that their service engineer had no concerns regarding access and recommending we buy from them, we have had no reply and are simply ignored. A truly horrible way to treat a customer who has just spent over $2000 with your company! You have lost any future custom and we shall not be recommending you to others.

25th April 2012 After looking at appliance reviews and settling on a washing machine and fridge, Kitchen Things had the ones I wanted. They were quick to send out a bill after I placed my order, which I payed the following day. I had organized for a moving truck to pick up the appliances three days after placing my order and the person I was dealing with assured me that both appliances would be ready. On the day that the moving truck arrived, one of the appliances hadn't arrived. I had not received any emails about this beforehand but was assured that delivery would take place the following working day free of charge. On the day of delivery, I missed a call from the delivery people and rung them back one hour later. They informed me that because I wasn't there to receive the call, they had left the fridge at the depot and we organized for another delivery the following day. My partner was at home the next day, and had not received a call regarding the delivery by mid morning, so she rung Kitchen Things. They rung the delivery people, and assured that the fridge would be delivered that afternoon. Only my partner was home when the fridge was delivered. No help was offered to take the polystyrene off the fridge bottom, even though the trolly would have made this an easy task. Very disappointed with my Kitchen Things experience.
