12th October 2011 Excellent food (we had the blueberry & apple muffins) with great coffee and the service was friendly efficient & friendly. As the weather was fine (Napier usually is!) we took advantage of the outdoor, sidewalk seating. It felt very cosmopolitan, especially as the town was buzzing with French, Canadian & Japanese tourists here for the 2011 RWC. Just awesome!

22nd February 2011 I love the coffee and muffin choices at Ujazi. Great place for coffee and catch up with friends or when I want a break in between clients. Sheila from Heart and Soul Healing

5th September 2010 I am unsure what the reviewer below is on about as Ujazi does a brilliant coffee. It is always our go to if where we are has bad coffee.
I do however agree with her salad comments.
I miss the old staff as the new lots leaves a lot to be desired :-(

11th March 2009 On the trail of good coffee in Napier, one is bound to stumble (literally) over Ujazi with its oodles of outdoor tables on Tennyson street. Popular with tourists and with some locals 'Eeeewjazi' has a reputation for expensive food and drink, a nice atmosphere and above all else, noise.
Inside is dark and noisy (the music is way too loud), the food takes time to arrive and the coffee is middle of the road.
The takeaway salads are a good deal but alas the lack of seasoning or dressing makes one realise why they are so cheap. The roast vege salad was almost raw and I threw mine away.
