14th March 2011 A pleasant spot to have lunch - and an attractive setting - but the menu is rather basic. 5 or 6 choices of meals, but if you skip past nachos and all-day fry-up then there is little left to choose from.
I had a "special" - the Steamed Muscles which was good, 8-10 fresh muscles in a chilli / coconut creme broth. All very tasty and nicely done.
My partner had the Chicken Burger which definately was not up to standard, the chicken was a crumbed piece that had been deep-fried to death while the fries were some sort of cajun store-bought version badly heated.
Also available are a selection of pies and quiches - they looked good - and the spinach quiche tasted fine.
$45 for three lunches and three soft drinks was a fair price.
Overall - it was OK. I would not rush back though - and would probably try somewhere else along the way next time.
