30th December 2009 Excellent - the food and service is always good and I wouldn't be able to find a cheaper take out meal which is fresh and tasty. Highly recommended. So much so that a former colleague who lives out at Churton Park would drive all the way to Thorndon to buy fish and chips because they were the best.

28th December 2009 Starfish is a great local shop. What they do is simple and well done, but can even get a little exotic with oysters as well. There's never been a bad time with them - they seem to change the oil regularly, and the queue is always out the door, indicating that there's others who also like it. I'd suggest you call via phone and place your order, as otherwise there may be a little bit of a wait.

11th August 2009 average. Asked for crumbed fish instead of battered and they only sold crumbed fillets which are $7 each, not the place to go if you're looking to feed the family on a tight budget.
