Taranaki Worm Products is about a group of people who have the belief that we should be using environmentally friendly fertilisers on our soils. From that came Taranaki Worm Products.

We use composting worms to produce Vermicast. The worm is one of the oldest soil conditioners and fertiliser producers known to man. In fact, without worms on this planet we would grow very little. Worms have been carrying out this process for thousands of years... we have sped this process up by breeding millions of these worms, which is called Worm Farming.

The Worms are fed a mix of animal manures and basically eat anything that was once living. After they pass it through their bodies, it is called "Vermicast".

The worms have calcifying glands and in conjunction with the chemical action in their digestive tract, the Vermicast they produce comes out as a nutritious plant-digestible and balanced fertiliser.

We do not mix this Vermicast with anything. We leave the Vermicast in its natural
