Located in Tauranga, New Zealand, BTI is a provider of professionally approved programmes that are character focused and values based. We offer a variety of programmes in Teacher and Counsellor education. Graduates are prepared and qualified for service in state, independent, integrated and Christian schools, Early Childhood centres and community agencies.
BTI's programmes are accredited and approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). They are also endorsed by the New Zealand Teachers' Council and the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.
BTI staff are well qualified, motivated and prepared to invest time and energy into the achievement of others. The fruit of such investment is seen in the quality and character of the graduates, in the rigour and fullness of the programmes and in the thoroughness and attention to quality.
BTI has built a tradition of commitment to the success of our students, not just academically and professionally, but as Christian values-oriented professionals and leaders with a desire to become life-changers through service to others.
Bethlehem Tertiary Institute (BTI) was established on the same campus as Bethlehem College in 1993. BTI is a non-denominational Christian institute and was the first teachers college to be established in the Bay of Plenty region and now offers programmes in teaching and counselling by distance and onsite.
