MERC Experiential Training offers adults, an opportunity to take part in outdoor education programmes, through providing appropriate yet challenging activities, in teambuilding and leadership programmes. These programmes will provide participants with development opportunities & life skills that will aid them in their everyday life.
MERC Experiential Training aims to give participants the opportunity to test themselves, their team and their leadership skills in a safe non threatening environment. They are involved both mentally and physically through a series of participant led activities which will run over a period of time, (from 3 hours to 10 day programmes). Throughout the programmes and understanding and knowledge is gained of different leadership styles, team dynamics and valuing each team member as a vital component in the team. Participants gain skills which they can take back in to the workplace and/or their everyday life. A vision or objectives are vital for an organisation to have before attending a teambuilding course. Key objectives can then be highlighted within the programmes, sometimes subtly, but always effectively. The experiential training division works to the ethos of Sir Peter Blake and his leadership skills. We have found that effective teambuilding is a vital component in leadership. Leadership skills and taking responsibility for ones own actions are qualities needed within the entire work place. We recognise the fundamental reasons why Sir Peter Blake was a good leader and how we can teach these philosophies within our programmes.
