9th August 2012 Five of us enjoyed a wonderful dinner to celebrate a 19th birthday. Despite a busy restaurant, our meals arrived without too much of a wait, and the steak, fish and chicken was equally as good as the other. However - do not miss out on dessert as they are delicious. It was a wee bit pricy, but worthwhile for a special occassion.

31st August 2010 This restaurant should be given 10 stars. The service is top of the line, very friendly and welcoming. The food is.. well actually havent had food here yet. We come here because of the Deserts. Im sure the food is amazing and one day soon we will do the full deal. Anyway back to the Deserts. These are the ones that melt in your mouth, "To die for" and well just SO DARN TASTY. If your craving a tasty treat, or a perfect spot for your first date. Then this is the place to go. It is a must while your in Christchurch. If you havent been here yet you are missing out. Go on GO TONIGHT!!

16th July 2010 After hearing about it and reading about it years ago when I still lived in Christchurch, I finally got to eat in Strawberry Fare in my last visit to Christchurch. My wife and I went there on a rainy weekend morning. It’s on the edge of the city centre, past the town hall, so it’s a bit of a walk, especially in a wet winter day. We were really hoping that it would live up to the hype. Luckily, it did. Breakfast (brunch menu) was fresh and good, and the host gracious. And you get the feeling that the diners come here regularly. The interiors are so classic and fashionable, that you don’t ever get the hint that this restaurant has been around for over 20 years, under the same family. If I ever live in Christchurch, this would definitely be one of my local favourites.
The most talked up place in Christchurch for desserts and it deserves to be. Delicious.
