Rathkeale College is an Anglican Trust Secondary School located a few kilometres north of Masterton, in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand's North Island. Rathkeale is one of the three "Trinity Schools", the others being Hadlow Preparatory School and St Matthew's Collegiate School for Girls.
Rathkeale College is a Year 9 to Year 13 single sex boys' school. It is unique in that, in Years 12 and 13, the boys are joined for classes by the St Matthew's girls to form the Rathkeale/St Matthew's Senior College. The College offers a government approved secondary school curriculum
Rathkeale and St Matthew's were formerly private schools which were integrated into the New Zealand state system in 1992. The special character of Rathkeale College was guaranteed in the integration agreement, ensuring a sound foundation for future growth and development. The education of New Zealand students is funded by a mix of Ministry of Education resourcing and students dues and donations.
Rathkeale has places for local and international day students as well as full and weekly boarding options. The College delivers academic, spiritual, cultural, sports and personal development programmes and strives for excellence in all aspects of these. Quality teaching and learning and a culture of high standards and values contribute to our goal of high student achievement
