What is Dry Cleaning & Why it is Important.
There are many reasons for dry cleaning garments rather than washing them in water. Some fabrics cannot be washed in water for fear of causing distortion due to shrinkage, while some fabrics are coloured with dyes that dissolve in water. In addition, the fashion industry often uses a variety of fabrics in a single garment. This means that the choice of cleaning method becomes crucial, and often dry cleaning is the only method that can be used to clean such a garment. Whatever the principal reason for dry cleaning a garment, the fact is that the complete dry cleaning process - which includes spot removal, solvent cleaning, and finishing - can restore a " LIKE NEW " appearance to clothes.

4th February 2015 I am wanting to give Taylor's a minus 10 for their complete lack of responsibility in dry cleaning a couple of small brio marks off my cream fill length NEW suede coat. I gave it yo them last year, on it's return I hung it in my almost pitch black hall way until I needed it late last year. So a few months after dry cleaning. To my horror the coat was covered in dark streaks especially on belt and straps but also on the main coat.. I then contacted the dry cleaners ( no thanks to the stupid chemist shop assistant in Elmwood) and yes it was again Steve who said that they didn't put the marks on it, I must have. Despite me assuring him it has been in the dark, completely left alone, since their cleaning it. I am furious that a firm gets away with this shoddy incompetent handling when all they had to do was remove two thin blue biro lines. I wouldn't recommend sending a plastic bag to this place. They are worse than useless and if you read this Steve, I'm not talking rubbish. You were the only people to handle this coat. Your workmanship is the worst I've ever seen.

30th October 2012 I would prefer to give 0 stars but the scale will not allow it....Just the mention of Taylors Master Valet Dry Cleaners leave a bad taste in my mouth. The last two times I have taken clothing items to Taylors Master Valet Dry Cleaners on Wairakei Road they have ruined them The first a brand new cream silk shirt was turned pink with no explanation what so ever. The second time my silk skirt had the colour lifted out of it. Because my skirt is not new - even though it has only been used on a handful of occasions Master Valet Dry Cleaners on Wairakei Road are only willing to refund me half of its original retail value. Generally good customer service can go along way to appease customer dissatisfaction. I have never written a review in my life but following the appalling treatment and attitude I received from Steve at Master Valet Dry Cleaners Wairakei Road I feel I have to convey his ignorance and rude behaviour. If you love and cherish your clothes like I do - take this note as a warning. Taylors cant clean silk and then when they do ruin your clothes they take no responsibility for it and are just plain rude.
