24th December 2007 If you are looking for a butcher like you remember as a child then this is for you. Sadly with the growth of supermarket power many independently run food providers have been squeezed out and with it the quality. Not so fortunately in this case. Everybody's butcher is without doubt the best butcher I have ever come across. Graham, ably assisted by his wife Pauline and meat buyer Frank, runs a great shop and it’s always such a great experience dealing with them. Animals are chosen individually from different suppliers and often a good story comes with a cut of meat. The pork sausages are just that – pork and when slowly cooked on the bbq are amazing and for $5 a kilo, a bargain to boot. The bacon is incredible and sliced to your own thickness. No nitrate or water injected stuff here. Aged rump for $12 kg the list goes on. Oh, and the Xmas hams…that’s another story! Two caveats though – not open in the weekend and no Eftpos.
