Harewood Estate is an award winning premium Extra Virgin olive oil grown on organic principals and hand picked in the sunny Wairarapa Valley. Our grove is 5 years old and is planted with nearly 400 trees of 5 different varieties from around the world. Our fruit is selectively hand picked in May to June and cold pressed within 12 hours at the olive mill across the road. We produce an Italian blend of Frantoio and Leccino, and single varietals of Koreneki and Picholene. We offer a beautiful black gift packed cylinder for any of the oil varities you select. It makes the perfect gift for tourists with the paua attached around the neck of the bottle on a black organza ribbon. Our oils are a vibrant green with fresh fruity olive flavours overlayed with green apples, clover and a lingering hint of pepper on the back palate.In some seasons our oils exhibit tomato and citrus flavours. We suggest using these delicious oils for drizzling over fish, salads, pasta or newly dug potatoes, or for dipping crusty fresh bread. You may choose to enjoy Harewood Estate premium oil as a 'solo' for its anti oxidant properties, Omega 3 benefits, anti-aging assistance from vitamin E or for its heart and anti cancer powers. Your oil is stored in dark glass to protect all these wonderful qualities and to ensure freshness and outstanding flavour for up to two years. Our oil is trested by AgriQuality and has a free fatty acid level of .06, well below the .8 qualifying level for extra virgin status, and a peroxide level of 4.3, again well below the set level of 15.
