Ballistic Tattoo was opened in mid 1997 by Shawn Oliver and Steve Waugh. The theme for the studio was to be open and inviting for people who were maybe a little intimidated by the idea of a dark, back alley parlour as in the days of old.
We wanted to show that tattooing wasn't just for 'undesirables', but anyone from a student to a bank manager could get one. As you can see from the photos, our aim was a bright, sterile, safe and friendly environment, using the best in equipment and fixtures.
Our tattoo machines are state of the art custom made, and are quieter and smoother on the skin, which reduces the discomfort while being tattooed and leads to better healing.
The studio is Health Department registered and is inspected regularly. There are thousands of different designs that clients can choose from at their leisure, or the artists are more than willing to help design custom, one off pieces to the clients' specifications.
We also offer Body Piercings, ranging from your everyday common piercings like noses, eyebrows, tongues and navels etc, to the more exotic, such as corseting and surface piercings.
The studio is open 7 days from 10am till 10pm for tattooing, and Monday to Friday 10am till 6.30pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm for piercings.

24th March 2012 Useless place to buy any replacement jewellery or even get any acknowlegement of existance while waiting for some assistance as i'm not covered in tattoos. Twice in the past 4 months I've wanted to buy a ball for my barbell or a whole barbell to replace the one I lost. BOTH times I was sent back and forth between shops as "only a piercer can sell me the correct size". When I went to the shop across the road, I was told to go back to the initial shop enquired at by the piercer. And when i told the piercer that i was told to go there, i was told to wait 20-40 minutes... To buy a simple barbell. Staff are clueless about jewellery and didn't even offer to show me options. I left both times without any purchases. Went to a shop in the same complex where the shopkeeper had English as a second language, and was shown surgical steel barbells. I picked out the one I wanted, purchase was over and done with in 2 minutes. Won't be back there as obviously small purchases are not valued.
I came from Oz to get a tattoo here in 2007. Guys were awesome and will get another next time I'm there.
