5th September 2010 The Spinach filo parcels are one of the best vegetarian meals around. The meal sizes are easily large enough to satisfy even a massive appetite, and the staff are very hospitable and friendly. They know the menu well and provide excellent suggestions for delicious Speight's beers to accompany the meal. The dessert (I had a berry, white chocolate cheesecake) was exquisite. The ideal venue for a special birthday or anniversary dinner or even just a treat. Can't wait to go there again!
20th October 2014 disappointed, dinned out on Wednesday 15 October and my meal was very average.
had chicken filo and the filo was still raw on the bottom, salad leaves were brown so ended up cutting them off. cheesecake base was so rock hard that when I did manage to cut it. it flew across the room. cant see me going back anytime soon.

31st March 2011 Did the brewery tour first and tasted the beers on offer. Pity you cannot match their taste and flavour outside. The meal was with a large group and the restaurant was crowded with a couple of very noisy groups. Combined with a wooden floor this made conversation difficult. Menu is pretty standard for this type of establishment but nevertheless well cooked and presented. Portions to suit the largest appetite (which is not what you always want). Service on the slow side but the place was crowded. Good value for money.

16th November 2010 Very average. We dined on the 11th of November 2010. Our hot chocolate cookies were burnt. Our entree had no sauce. My main was supposed to have an egg as an extra. On the flip side, desserts were good, and we were warned as we sat down that the group of 40 upstairs could slow the kitchen down. I think I will stick to The Lone Star to get our solid, eat-out, big meals from now on.
