Good food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The menu is quite broad if you have picky guests, although there aren't many healthy options for vegetarians. Portofino is a safe bet if you are dining out on a low budget, as you can be certain that everyone will find something on the menu, not necessarily anything to write home about, but still, nice enough.

Great dining place on a popular location; very chic ambiance and environment. Service has always been good. Have been back few times because of that. Their food isn't too bad, but I felt like either the taste and texture could speak out a bit more, or that I am simply finding their food a bit boring now... Not sure if I will go back again at this stage.

For just your everyday dining, I personally would not pick any other restaurant over Portofino. It is elegant, chic and offers a good portion to very reasonable prices. The food is very traditional italian, flavours being very olive, fig and pepper based. Extensive herbs are used in their cooking, and are left in the dishes for you to enjoy. Ingredients specified on the menu suggest an emphasis on local and organic products, meaning the food is fresh. No hint of Fusion-style food such as |dine by Peter Gordon| so you can be sure you're having an authentic Italian Culinery experience. Service was brilliant, very warm and friendly staff.

The food here was really great quality - beautifully presented and quite delicious. The servings were really large (which is much better than really small) and I think appropriately priced. There was an issue with the lady who was serving me which I was really unhappy about but the manager was terrific and stepped in and sorted it out the second she heard what was going on. Although there was an issue with the waitress I would definitely return due great service from the manager (which I may not have if she had not, even though the food was fantastic). Great for an early evening meal after a day at the beach!

If you are ordering the pasta it is well priced because the servings are huge, the pizzas also come out quite large. they do doggy-bags so you can take whats left of your meal home also so there is very little wastage. Service was a little slow for how many people were in the restaurant, but the staff were very nice and polite. Throughly enjoyed my time there and would definately go again.

good pizza, reasonable service but the list of beers was a bit disappointing. Seeing as pizza and beer is a natural combination you would have thought that there would be at least as good a range found in most bars... sadly not.

Love this place! Their breads are absolutely delicious and are always an indication of the yummy mains to follow. Can't get enough of their white veal parmigiana & spaghetti dishes. You simply have to try this place.

Would have to be my favourite restaurant in Mission bay. Very classy and seating is great.Prices are very affordable and defintly a place to take your loved one on a romantic dinner. My top pick would be the Rissoto Di pollo. Devine ..

This place is awesome!! Great food, excellent wine & great service... Love the melon/prociutto entree!!! one of my favourites... I highly recommend this place for a romantic meal for 2!! Love it
