5th December 2011 Super friendly staff, affordable authentic Japanese food & a great atmosphere. There's even a karaoke room upstairs! Make sure you try the green tea ice cream.

29th March 2011 Fantastic food, atmosphere and service. My friend and I were very happy with our meal we had a few weeks ago here. The portions are fun to share and very tasty & fresh! If you love Japanese food and haven't tried Nippon, get here now!

22nd March 2011 This is a very authentic Japanese restaurant in the heart of Epsom. Really great traditional atmosphere, (they bang the drum when you walk in and you feel loved and welcome to dine in their restaurant). The food is very affordable, and of an excellent quality. Always popular, it pays to phone ahead for a table. Good service too.

7th September 2010 Awesome atmosphere! Taiko drums banging and free karaoke upstairs. Can get quite busy so booking ahead is highly recommended. Food and staff are great... Atmosphere and interior takes me back to Japan.

13th July 2010 "Irashaimase!" - at least I think that's what they yelled when we first walked in the door of Sakebar Nippon on Manukau Road beside the Lido Theatre. A drum was also banged to announce our arrival, which makes ya feel kinda spesh in a warm and friendly way. I've never been to Japan, but my friend assures me that this restaurant is very authentic - from the hanging lanterns to the layout and seating - and of course the food. A large menu to choose from, with everything Japanese from sushi to udon soup and of course sake. A great night out.

23rd June 2010 Great food (and sake, of course), especially if you like variety, order a stack of dishes to share. Usually busy and always very entertaining!

4th December 2008 The place is a hub of noise.. in a good way.. you are greeted and thanked by drums both when you arrive and when you leave. The menu has recently been extended and this makes sure there is something for everyone to enjoy. The Chicken Karage is definately the tastiest I have ever had. Be mindful when you come to ask for a table upstairs if you shy away from too much noise.
absolutely amazing restaurant. food is amazing as well as the staff. a must go!
