19th February 2012 We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Flax last Friday night. Delicious meal. We shared entree of scallops wrapped in bacon only 3 but really great. I had eye fillet steak which was very tender served with a miniature jug of red wine jus and a small dish of vegetables...my husband had the noisette of lamb 3 pieces ... very tender so will definitely go back. lovely balmy night great ambience. About $ 29-34 for mains and entree was $19 but worth it

27th August 2010 Been to the flax on several occasions, the last being the two 4 one birthday celebrations. I had the Cassoulet which was wonderful and my wife had the steak. We had sweet and a bottle of wine. All this for around $100. A delightful evening, good staff, great atmosphere and wonderful grub.

15th July 2010 I often go to Flax, it is one of the best place in Browns Bay for lunch - definitely the best view when you having a glass of beer sitting outside on its white leather couch, facing the beach in summer day. Great lunch menu and snacks / platter to share. I didn’t enjoy the dinner as much but the fish and chips my friend ordered was scrumptious.
