3rd August 2010 Have just been back to Jones after a while abroad and was so impressed with it's makeover under new management of husband and wife duo Alex and Ana whom were there greeting and hosting customers with broad smiles and cheeky samples of wine on this Saturday lunch time.
I ordered a seafood broth, generously topped with prawns, scallops and calamari for a very reasonable price of $12.50! Cheaper than most takeouts, my partner ordered poached eggs with bacon and black pudding which he said was the best he's had in ages. We both washed our meals down with a Stone Taddock Sauvignon Blanc which was delicious and well priced at $9 for a large glass.
We couldn't resist taking home a fresh baked cupcake and croissant for later.
Thanks Jones we'll defiantely be back!
New Zealand foodies can now enjoy the jones experience with the opening of the first store in the heart of Newmarket, Auckland's premier shopping district. In a purpose-built, stylish space the jones brand of exceptional products and service has quickly made its mark on the Auckland food scene. The jones reputation for magnificent gourmet food offered in a cosmopolitan atmosphere is evident in the Auckland store. The trademark fromagerie (walk-in cheese room) with its extensive array of international cheeses has a local twist - the pick of New Zealand's award-winning cheeses from the country's best producers.
24th November 2010 Love the airy, relaxed atmosphere - with open spaces, tonnes of magazines, and shared tables. BEST coffee I have had in a while, however my boyfriend's big breakfast was overpriced and the bacon was burnt. I have talked to others, and their enthusiasm has lead me to believe this was likely to be a one off mistake. The staff are friendly and efficient, and I would overall recommend this cafe.

21st July 2010 Lovely food for lunch, has great salads but is really over priced! Considering there is no shortage of lovely cafe's on Carlton Gore Rd they could have a lot more customers if there prices were more reasonable. A friend of mine calls it 'Jones the Robber' which gives you an idea of how expensive it is....
