Te Awamutu Club recently completed renovations and now boasts a wonderful new function centre. Current President Stu Tervit says the project, which started three years ago, has been finished thanks to support from sponsors and several members putting in many hours of hard work. oeOur progressive committee at the time saw the potential for the club to be updated and develop a function centre - so Te Awamutu(TM)s best kept secret is now out. oeThe building has had a complete makeover inside and out. There are new carpets, a massive outside deck, a snug room with pellet fire and a new, expanded kitchen area. oeThe new concept is designed to cater for everyone so that they can relax and enjoy their time here in comfort. oeMembers can also take the opportunity to watch sport, play snooker or pool, put on a bet or just enjoy the ambience at the club with their friends. oeAt the end of the night guests can get home safely by using the courtesy bus. (TM)The new kitchen and in house caterer means that bistro meals are currently available Friday and Saturday evenings. Renee Irwin of Radish Catering provides a range of meals including nachos, oriental platters, burgers, fries, wedges, salads and pizzas. The function centre is available for hire for special occasions, meetings etc and has ample parking at the rear of the building.
Currently six service groups use the premises for their meetings.
