Classic Tan was established in 1996 to provide a new standard of tanning experience in Wellington. We offer modern tanning equipment with friendly professional advice while promoting safe smart tanning all in a friendly atmosphere.
Facilities include two types of lie- down sunbeds as well as stand up fast tanning suncapsules.
We also have Mystic Tan spraytanning for those who want a UV free tan.
Classic Tan also offers an excellent sauna experience with the Sunlight Far Infra red Sauna with Solar Carbon technology ideal for removing toxins, helping to burn calories, relieving muscle and joint stiffness and improving skin.
New to Classic Tan is our semi permanent Eye Lash Extensions from Nouveau Lashes which are so popular in Europe. With a choice of lash lengths, only a 1 and half hour application time and being extremely comfortable to wear, Nouveau Lashes last up to 6- 8 weeks and means you no longer need to wear mascara.

I purchased a 'Daily Deal' for Eyelash Extensions and was disappointed when I had them done at Classic Tan. I had requested short lashes and walked out with long spidery lashes that touch my brows when open, and look ridiculous from side on. I questioned the lady at completion of applying the lashes, saying they looked quite strange (It was my first time having had them done), and she quickly said they were the shortest they had available. These ones are 10mm. My friend is a therapist in Wellington at another salon, and she was amazed when she saw my lashes - especially when I told her this was the shortest I could get at Classic Tan. She said most salons offer 7mm, 9mm as well. I'm really very annoyed, as if Classic Tan did not have the look I requested they should have informed me, and given me the option to wait till they had more in stock. Now, I have to wait till the lashes fall out as apparently they look even worse if you cut them (blunt). Very disappointed, as I called up when I got home to ask for them to redo them... was not expecting a refund, yet they said 'We can not give you a refund as you purchased the offer on Groupy' - how is this legal?!
