Salmond Reed Architects (formerly Salmond Architects) was founded by Jeremy Salmond in 1988. The practice expanded in 2000 to become Salmond Reed Architects Limited. We are now one of the largest architectural conservation practices in New Zealand and we have been involved in the restoration of some of this country's most important historic buildings.
Initially the work within the practice revolved around alterations and additions to older houses but expanded, following the successful adaptation of the former Auckland Synagogue in 1989, to include larger historic buildings.
The Company is located on the North Shore in Devonport, Auckland and now offers a complete range of architectural services including new build, alterations and additions to existing buildings, condition assessment and repair, and all facets of heritage architecture.
Salmond Reed Architects (SRA) currently has a staff of seventeen, including Registered Architects, Chartered Building Surveyors, Graduate Architects and support staff.
The Practice has received numerous local and national awards.
