Life Insurance becomes confusing when you don(TM)t know what it pays, or when it pays
My clients in Christchurch and Canterbury tell me, the most important thing is that they and the children will be okay should something happen to them.
I assist them to buy life insurance and income protection, with free advice, so they know how much income they(TM)ll have to spend on the day-to-day bills, if the worst happens.
But after a year or two, for many families with a life insurance package, confusion reigns.
These families have little idea how much money will be paid out in a claim, and when.
Why is this? Because they feel confused by the jargon.
Why life insurance is confusing
One Christchurch self-employed person wanted to be sure they knew what on earth they were covered for, and this was the result.
oeWe got our life insurance all at once, and then after some time, someone else came along and said oeCan I review that for you?. While we were talking I realised that they are using totally different terms (specific words for benefits)!
Then we ended up even more confused than we were before!
