Welcome to Te Whangai. Te Whangai is Maori for "To Nurture" or "To Adopt". We are a native tree and plant eco-nursery that plants, grows and supplies a variety of quality natives to businesses and organisations. Together with our landscape consultancy services, we offer expertise in all areas of environmental planting.

Te Whangai was established to address the needs of those who face compliance and regulatory planting issues. Our customers include developers, industries, farmers, schools, local councils, regional government, consultants and those undertaking conservation or non-profit projects.

Supported by The Ministry of Social Development Te Whangai includes physical and emotional help to previously disadvantaged people. The unemployed are given job training, a structured environment and responsibility. by investing in people, basic life, work and social skills are attained. Our goal is to move employees back into the full time commercial workplace within one year.

We are located overlooking the tranquil Seabird Coast in the rich, fertile lands of the Waikato.
