I am a weaver / craftswoman living in beautiful Golden Bay, in the South Island of New Zealand.

I began weaving flax in year 2000, drawn by the beauty of woven flax kete, and wanting to recreate that myself.

I am inspired by both the process of flax weaving - the fascination of being able to cut raw, green, strong leaves direct from the flax plant, and totally transform them into a wonderful work of art!

And by the finished creation - a glorious handmade kete, bag or backpack. Something beautiful ,precious, unique and natural. A product of the artist`s hands, energy and creativity.
