30th January 2018 A special time an our lives (our engagement) was made very stressful thanks to Diamond Design. They did not keep to their deadlines, kept pushing it out further, they did not tell us the full truths about our ring. On the day it was finally supposed to be posted to us we confirmed our address, because we had been told it was finished. A member of staff reconfirmed that it was ready for postage. Later that day we found out that it was still not even finished and had in fact been sent to another jewellers in Auckland to be completed. Once it arrived we discovered that although the workmanship was beautiful, the ring looked very different to what had been discussed. Since we have been engaged we have contacted them and they promise to help, but once again do not stick to their word and are not available when they say they are. I rung them almost five days ago again, and was told they would ring me back in a few minutes. I am still waiting for a reply.
Diamond Design has not taken responsibility for how much they have mucked us around and the large mistake in the design of the ring.

23rd February 2011 The store is quite old fashioned and unkept - you can tell that no renovations have been done for a while. I can say the same for the pieces of jewellery that they sell there. These diamonds should have gone out of fashion in the 80s but yet this shop still sells them as "ultra modern" pieces. The owner even advertises himself on the local radio as a diamond dealer that regularly gets his diamonds from Holland -- maybe he did 20 years ago!
The owners of this place are such unfriendly and mean people that you regret ever setting foot in their shop. Shame on them for being such retailers that don't serve their customers and don't treat them with the respect they deserve!!!! Walking into a store where the shopkeepers are snobby is one of the worst things ever. I wish that there would be an authority that would look into this matter and make these people close down their shop. This is absolutely unacceptable business behaviour. If they want people to buy things from their shop they really need to either employ people that are friendly and willing to serve customers, or they need to change their own behaviour!!!!
