Belinda Brown is a freelance photographer based in Wellington, New Zealand. Belinda has an extensive body of work that reflects her diverse experience and expertise in many facets of photography. Her passion for this medium is ignited by her natural ability to record people and events with integrity and enthusiasm.
An adventurer by nature, photography has gifted her a visual diary of many journeys where she shoots freelance for her own portfolio and for a range of clients. All provide the opportunity for self reflection, validation, humour and the challenge to interact with people, to learn and share in experiences. Belinda has held 8 exhibitions in Auckland and Wellington, and has had many works published in magazines and newspapers both in New Zealand and overseas.
At home in Wellington, Belinda has specialised in Weddings since 1996. With a warm and playful personality, her curiosity for people and a love of romance and celebration Belinda has only naturally been drawn to Weddings and Portrait work.
Belinda offers a professional and fun photographic experience. With her wealth of knowledge, and innovative and friendly approach, she will share with you a diverse range of photographic skills. She enjoys the free flowing, contemporary-photojournalistic style but appreciates that a sprinkle of formal and traditional remain a requirement in many Wedding Coverages.
Belinda enjoys the vibrancy and expression of colour, whilst balancing her albums with the more elegant and dramatic form of black and white. Belinda approaches all weddings differently, and works with her Brides and Grooms to gain a clear understanding of who they are, so as to capture the true essence and emotion of each individual, and to represent the unique blending of two people committing to one another in marriage.
