Messy play is the most fun you can have with your child in one hour sessions. Mess it up is developmental messy play, where your child can explore, discover, think, learn and problem solve using all their senses. Research suggests messy or sensory play helps connect neural pathways to aid brain development in early childhood. We have at least 6 different sensory experiences in each session from finger painting and play dough to slime and gloop. The best part is you don't have to clean up afterwards.
Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, fine / gross motor skills, problem solving / reasoning, and social interaction. Children will experience lots of opportunities to develop their fine motor skills - squishing and squeezing can help develop pre-writing skills. There is potential for early Mathematics by discussing size, shape, height, weight and counting and grouping of various mediums. Science is also a natural part of Messy Play. Come and try it!
