Helium is the newest addition to Rotorua(TM)s growing art scene. Situated on the corner of Tutanekai and Eruera Street, Helium is a beautifully renovated space which exhibits contemporary New Zealand art, provides a custom picture framing service and sells New Zealand made gift ware.
Owned and run by Sarah Ziessen, a local artist who is a passionate advocate for the arts and her husband Neville Baty, who runs the custom framing service. Helium galleries mission is to provide a venue to showcase emerging and established artists and provide a welcoming environment for art lovers to enjoy and purchase New Zealand made art.
Visitors to Helium will be able to experience unique contemporary art made by the outstanding local and national artists including Lani Eyles, Bridget Thornton and Lee Brogan. In addition,they will be able to buy art products such as books and creativity kits, as well as New Zealand made gift ware, including jewellery, ceramics, and prints.
