27th June 2014 Went today for lunch with a special person I have not seen for ages(awwwwww). We looked at all that was on offer on a wet Friday at Britomart/Wynyard and finally popped into cafe Hanoi and we were where we instantly knew we were meant to be. The service was welcoming, professional and intelligent. Our lovely waiter, from Brittany, could see we wanted to chat and so did not disturb us even though we were taking ages to eat out food. The food was delicious, flavourful and fresh. The decor, naked brick and unpretentious. Perfect. And the bathrooms were amazing! Merci Cafe Hanoi, c'est parfait! Mwah x

10th February 2012 Have been here couple of time, always busy but always enjoyed nice clean flavour and attentive service. You need to see which part of the menu you are ordering from since the food from the top part are more like entree compared to those listed at the back are more generous in portion size.

10th February 2012 The food here was to die for and service was great however it ended up being $65.00 a head and we did not much purchase a huge amount of food or alcohol

5th August 2011 Great service and even better food. Eventhough we had to wait for a table we didnt mind, the staff were forever attentive asking us if we wanted to have some nibbles while we waited. I am glad we waited! All of the shared plates were unbelievable - with my favs being the pork belly, tofu and the minced beef. Espresso martinis to finish capped the night off perfectly.
