Have been to the Hangar on various occasions for birthday drinks, gatherings and dancing. Apart from the odd bar snack I had never eaten a whole meal here before.

So I was surprised when I did finally come along for a meal, that the food was very tasty and reasonably priced.
Perhaps not the best idea to visit for a sit down meal on a Friday night - as there were large groups enjoying after work drinks, but as we were seated inside this was not too bad.

The waiter we had was very honest and made suggestions as to the best things to get on the meal, and he was certainly right in saying that the Rosemary Potatoes would be a good addition to my chicken StoneGrill
Would visit again, especially for the StoneGrill menu! Yum.

Not fine dining, but a fine option for an affordable and enjoyable dinner.

Conferences, seminars, work shops and meetings right here at The Hangar.

We have two separate conference facilities:

1. The Piha Room
This space is ideal for formal meetings, presentations & training seminars.
- Holds up to 16 people, 12 people in a U-shaped configuration
- Data projector & screen (available on request)
- Whiteboard & markers (available on request)

2. The Bethells Room
This area is ideal for larger group seminars, presentations & training workshops.
- Holds up to 30 people, 16 people in a U-shaped configuration
- Data projector & screen (available on request)
- Whiteboard & markers (available on request)

Your conference can be fully catered with either our set menu options, platter options or by utilising our dining facilities in our restaurant for lunch and/or dinner. Please look under our "menu" tab within our website at these choices that are available for your conference.

Me and my Family went there for a late lunch for Fathers day 07/09/2014. We have been to this place 3 times before and had a great experience.... Only in the week days though. When we got there at 1.30, it took 40 minutes before anyone served us. It also took over an hour to get an entrees. It took another hour after this to get our mains. When the kids meals arrived one was correct and the other one was not what we ordered, although when the waitress put it on the table and announced what they were, she said it correctly and did not notice that what she placed on the table was not what she said. Even when we placed a drinks order after finally getting their attention we waited about 20 minutes. My partner and his Dad each got the Freebird chicken burger with fries. The chicken inside the burger was all fatty bits like grisel.... It was disgusting. We told the waitress and she apologised it was returned to the kitchen. I had ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad ..... Sadly my chicken was exactly the same as the (so called) chicken that was in the burgers. The Manager came out and apolgised and she had seen what my chicken looked like and agreed with me this should also be sent back to the kitchen and told me to order something else ( which we did pay for). I had ordered the Miss Piggy Pizza...which was quite nice. Meanwhile my partners meal came out again it was a completely new Freebird Burger and Fries with Real Chicken this time. The Manager had said sorry and the desserts were on the house. Our Free Desserts must of been free because we were waiting at least 30 Minutes for them to appear! I would also like to point out the restaurant was not full they were badly understaffed. As when we left the Station where they order from it was totally full with heaps of used plates and dishes all over it. This was our WORST EXPERIENCE here ever and will not likely return in the weekends

I took my husband here for the first time for his birthday and what a great experience, sitting outside on a lovely fine evening under the heaters we enjoyed every minute - thanks for the experience
