The Auckland Grammar School Foundation Trust was established in 2000 for the purpose of advancement of education by charitable means. This includes distributions to attract, reward and retain staff (through the Academic Endowment Fund) and to provide and maintain facilities for the School.
The funds raised at this year(TM)s Foundation Trust Gala Dinner will be targeted towards keeping our best teachers in the classroom. The past six Gala Dinners have raised over $500,000 for the Foundation Trust.
Each year the Foundation Trust distributes money from the Academic Endowment Fund to staff at the School who go the extra mile. In addition to rewarding teachers involved in co-curricular activities the Trustees seek to recognise those who have made outstanding contributions in the classroom.
Auckland Grammar School is determined not only to maintain its pre-eminence in boys(TM) education in New Zealand but also to compete successfully in the global arena. High quality teachers who feel satisfied with their financial rewards and community recognition will ensure that Auckland Grammar School continues to fulfil its mission.
