Arbitrageur showcases classic & contemporary fare from the wine growing areas of the world ; from charcuterie, world cheeses & bistro style dishes. 50+ wines by the glass
19th September 2010 Really nice food, wine and service. The waiter was really attentive and friendly. Awesome atmosphere as well. Recommend to all, but maybe for a fancy occasion, quite expensive (but certainly worth it)
Nestled in the heart of the Wellington CBD, Arbitrageur Wine Room and Restaurant is a taste of Europe on your door step.
Winner of Best Casual Metropolitan Dining Award - Cuisine 2011.
Located within walking distance of many of Wellington's hotels and waterfront, Arbitrageur is the ideal place to begin (and end) your weekend away.
A fine dining experience without the price tag, the elegant setting is suitable for business lunches and dinners, after work drinks and tapas, or a romantic evening out.
Our European inspired a la carte menu is available all day and if you fancy something to nibble while enjoying a glass of wine, ask for our Tapas list. All our dishes come from the wine growing regions of the world, using fresh local produce. Ask our friendly staff to help navigate our wine list and experience Arbitrageur at its best - with a selection of wines by the glass to match your food.
Our wine program marries tradition with discovery and exploration but what really sets us apart is our selection process. Everything on our list is either of great quality or great value and has been hand selected by in-house wine expert Stephen Wong. That said, it is not a small list; the cellar exceeds 450 labels (with 85 wines available by the glass).
"One of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world"- Wine Spectator Magazine 2005 & 2010
Arbitrageur is also a unique space to hold an event, catering for stylised events at the weekends such as weddings, birthday parties, corporate dinners, launches and pre-sporting event lunches. Our staff are professional, friendly and well versed on wine & food.
The room is able to seat eighty people for a sit down meal and can hold up to one hundred people standing for a cocktail evening. The room is equally suitable to cater for smaller groups of around forty people.

5th July 2010 The atmosphere is quite chilled at Arbitrageur, great if you're catching up with friends over a few vinos. The tapas menu is devine, especially recommend the smoked salmon bruschetta.
