The Thames Valley Motel is the only motel in Ngatea, Hauraki Plains in Waikato. It is at corner of State Highway 2 and Pauls Drive. The motel is in centre of town close to eateries, parks and shops. Ngatea is one hour from Auckland and Hamilton. It is one and half hours from Rotorua and Hamilton and makes a wonderful gateway to these centres and the famous Coromandel Peninsular. If you are travelling from Gisborne to Northland the motel makes an excellent stopover.

15th January 2013 Phoned in October to book a stay to attend a family wedding in Ngatea end of this month, rang today to confirm the booking and was told that they have no record of us or another family member who booked around the same time. No apology was offered, no alternative accommodation suggested, shockingly bad service!!!

3rd February 2013 This review is most unfair and endangers the business. In our 8 years of operation at this motel having provided thousands of guest nights we have recieved 3 complaints. Unfortunately a inter year data transfer resulted in this particular person not being provided with a unit despite us providing all our units to the rest of the wedding party who seemed happy with our service. We are extremely disappointed that the review has been published without our comments beforehand as it can severely reduce our patronage. We inform that the review is unfair , not representative and potentially a liability for future patronage.
