We are writing to say a big thank you for your wonderful job your company has made of the sanding and polishing of our timber floors. Your team were on time, efficient and professional at all times. We especially appreciated the many visits Dave made to the house to make sure the old and new floors were colour matched, which has given a fantastic result showing a seamless transition between the old and the new flooring. The vinyl that was laid in the laundry was done very well.

We also appreciated your follow up service after the job was completed. This was a true sign of great service, and is rarely seen these days in business.

I have used Duncan Floor Company for over 15 years, to floor sand and polyurethane my client's floors.I have found them to be professional and competent team that has amazed me with the high standard of work, completed within some times very tight dead lines.

I have used this company twice over the last few years of a staged renovation. The job involved two stages: polishing existing "character" flooring where there was some terrible carpet tile glue to contend with and then later a large extension where recycled timber was used. The finished job was extremely good on both occasions, with care taken to minimise the cost to me and to end up with an overall match achieved. All newly painted skirting was left spotless in the extension; the guys were terrific and got on well with other tradesmen on site. All communications and so on were professional and I found Dave excellent to deal with. Given my experience with lots of trades, the other feedback on this company is difficult to understand. I thought they were one of the easiest to deal with!

I would never use these guys again.: 1. Accepted quote on basis of them being able to do the work over a weekend. We organised to stay with friends over the weekend, plus our flatmate had to find accommodation for the length of time we were out of the house because of the fumes. We have a 7 month old baby, plus a 3 year old. By the time they were finished after having to redo the polyurethane coating. It was 7day! 2. After accepting that the tradesman couldn't come around the first day due to family problem. We were assured a "full team" would be there the next day to do most of the work. This never happened. 3. After saying they could do the work over the weekend, they never came back in that period!, no phonecall, and some lame excuse about us saying the guy could have the weekend off. Weird considering we had gotten out of the house for them to do it then! 4. Bad communication, had to ring up and ask what was going on most of the time. 5. Job done to poor standard. They thought it was done, but bubbles all through polyurethane. Had to get them to come back and sand and redo 6. Cut cables for sky, had to get sky to come in to fix. Overall a bad experience that left us out of pocket for rent, and them unwilling to meet all our costs.
