6th January 2011 This Cattery is fine if you just want the bare essentials provided for your pet.... but instinct tells me that our cat was left alone a lot. We dropped him off in good faith, only to hear a complaint about another cat's whingeing, and, when I asked about what kind of attention the cats get, I was told that the dogs take up a lot of their time. I did wonder throughout our holiday about our cat's welfare, and was very relieved when we came to collect him that he was fine. (I had left contact details.) He had clearly been fed, watered and he had a clean cage. However, the cattery managers were not there at all, and we dealt instead with their young granddaughter. We hadn't met, she did not know which cat was ours, and she had no idea how his stay in the cattery had been when I asked for some feedback. This cattery cost us only $10 a day, and, in hindsight, we would have been prepared to pay more for a better attitude. (I chose not to check it out before we placed our cat there, a mistake, and had left it too late to choose another cattery.) In future we will not be placing our cat with these people. I work with children and their families and my care giving standards are very high.
