1st February 2009 The Ark changed ownership in Jun of 2008 and the new manager has made many changes for the better. As well as being a cafe during the day, you can also now dine their in the evenings. The evening mains prices are around the $20-$30 mark. We went on a quiet Sunday night. The coffee was wonderful - one of the best I've had out in a while. The service was friendly and prompt. The food took a little while to come but it was most definitely worth the wait. Our mains were delicious, well presented and the portions were of a decent size.
9th May 2010 We went for mothers ay brunch, were given a set menu not the standard, which had only 3 currie's 3 salads & 1 steak roll on offer as mains, none enticed us but decided to stay, we placed our drinks order with one staff member, had another take our meal order then another ask to take it again. We waited over half an hour for our drinks then asked for them, nothing was done for a further 5min, we then saw her speak to the barrista and what looked like them finally get them started, this was 40min later, they never came to explain or apologise, so we decided to leave. The service was very poor, we saw another table be served 5 of their mains while the 6th waited till 3 had finished before getting his meal, just chaos and was not that busy. We were very dissapointed & wouldn't go again.

23rd July 2009 The cafe has now closed for night trade. The ownership of this cafe has not changed. The current tenant has appointed an unauthorised subtenant until May of next year. The Classic Car Museum (the owner of the building and the landlord) has closed it's doors as it refuses to be associated with Ark Cafe or it's agents.
