11th September 2010 Been a few times lately for breakfasts which are really good, partner loves the big brekky and gets him full rather than complaining he needs more!
4th January 2014 This place had absolutely terrible service when we visited. 20 minutes after ordering a few drinks, only 2 had come out. We went up to inquire about the remaining drinks and the waitress said they were on the way. Shortly after another waitress came out to explain there had been a mix up with the order and asked us to repeat the remaining drinks. 30 minutes after ordering we went in to get our money back. The waitress was unhelpful and unapologetic so I asked to speak to the manager. She spoke to the manager but he didn't bother to come out to talk to us. I would never go back and I wouldn't want anyone else to waste their time with this place.

12th March 2013 The young girl that served me at the counter was very abrupt, the meal left alot to be desired. The price was high for what we recieved. Our waitress who brought our meal to us was pleasant, warm and friendly appeared she may have been from the UK.
Would not go back nor recommend sorry Zambezi first impressions are lasting ones.

21st January 2012 The service at Zambezi Cafe is fast and the majority of the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, I would never return to Zambezi Cafe after the experience my Mother and I had there this weekend. I cannot eat wheat and when placing my order I asked if my breakfast which was toast, mushrooms and hashbrowns could be made gluten free, which the girl said was no problem and I also asked for no hashbrowns with my meal. No substitute was offered for the hashbrowns and we were charged $40 for two meals and one drink without receiving a receipt. Wondering why we were charged so much when working out the prices from the menu we asked a passing waitress, who then brought us our receipts with our meal. She said rudely keep in mind that you were charged $2.50 extra for G/F bread. I am more than use to and happy to pay extra for G/F bread as it does cost more to buy (however not $2.50 more per slice and most places only charge $1 extra) but when asked why I was charged extra when I removed the hashbrowns from my meal she once again replied rudely that the hasbrowns were only small and then walked away. This was not a pleasant dining experience which was a shame as I'm sure the manager/owner of the store would of been more than happy to refund some of the charge or atleast aplogied/or explained why the charge was so high if the waitress dealt with our complaint properly. The mushrooms also appeared to be cooked with wheat flour as I am now sick and it should of been explained that they were not G/F when we asked for a gluten free meal!

17th January 2011 My wife and I visited Zambezi Cafe on Saturday and ordered a long black with extra water, a cappuccino and a muffin.
My wife is in a wheelchair and they took a good 5 minutes to serve her and then when we went to sit, good staff would remove a chair if someone was in a wheelchair. This was not done and they took 10 minutes to get us our coffees and muffin. When we got our order their was no extra water, the cappuccino was spilt on the saucer and the muffin was extremely dry that my wife choked on it and my wife asked for a new cappuccino we got a filthy look.
The staff refunded the muffin only but never offered an apology for the lack of service.
We wont be back!
