14th March 2007 Quite expensive for what you do actually get but all the same a great laugh if there are a few of you. We landed lucky on the day because their camera (which they usually charge you for photo's) was borken so we got to take our own in. All round good fun.
Freddy(TM)s Ice House pays tribute to Frederic Tudor otherwise known as The Ice King.
He had a bold idea to cut winter ice from the ponds of New England and transport it to faraway lands, the idea worked.
We have re established Frederic(TM)s Ice House where all his Ice would have been stored and turned it into the coolest experience in Auckland, a real ice bar.
The entire bar, including your glasses are made from ice and the temperature gets as low as minus 5.

5th March 2007 Not likely to become your local watering hole, but definitely somewhere you MUST visit at least once. A great concept and excellent photo opportunity at the viaduct harbour.
