16th May 2007 We booked a King Suite, described as "Larger sized studio" with fridge, tea/coffee facilities etc. Despite paying for this were put in a standard – no space to swing a very small cat. No fridge. No hairdryer (useful if going to pools), nowhere for bags, sink so small you couldn't put the kettle under the tap (had to use a glass to fill); taps themselves very difficult to turn off. Sound proofing between rooms non-existent. Loo next to head of bed. I did question the room and was told by the owner (needs to go on Kiwihost course!!) that I was getting a discount anyway so what was the problem? Underwhelming.
On the up side, the breakfast was great, the place was clean and the communal facilities good. In a very good location, but smacks of being thrown up at minimum cost!
Check carefully before booking that what you think you're booking is what you're actually booking, and steer clear of owner if you have a problem.
