6th November 2010 Excellent food and service! (Try the pumpkin, roasted garlic soup - incredible!)
Does anyone have an email address for Pukeko's Nest?
8th November 2016 We called in on our way back from a weekend in Whitianga on our way to Auckland. The place was a mess old cash registers and general rubbish on the tables. Prices absolutely exhorbitant, a pie was $6 and had the life zapped out of in a microwave making it inedible for atleast an hour and tiny club sandwich was $4. Most definatley will not be calling in again anytime soon

20th September 2014 Stopped here last weekend on way to Auckland, had wanted to stop for ages as it always seemed so busy in the past, that's usually a good sign!
We would never return, we had poor service the food was below average, and the cafe was not very clean, the owners don't speak fluent English, and spoke their own language to each other (in front of us) which is rude in my opinion, sorry no positives to offer.

26th April 2012 This is a cafe to be avoided. Four of us ordered eggs on toast and coffee. The eggs were so undercooked they were slimy and the coffee was badly burned, as was the milk in it.
Another problem was the language barrier. When we were trying to point these things out, they couldn't understand what we meant then got very grumpy with us for complaining.
No customer service and bad food, coffee and staff.
Then there is the cheap, plastic trinkets for sale. What is this? A cafe or a $2 shop? No atmosphere!
